The Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) program is an internationally recognized initiative that highlights young individuals excelling in various fields, including leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, and humanitarian work.
At Junior Chamber International Nigeria (JCIN) University of Benin, we understand what it means to look out for others, to provide lasting solutions to problems, and also to contribute to the growth and development of others. Like the last line of our creed says, "service to humanity is the best work of life." That's why we have decided to recognize and award these awesome individuals and in our own way show them that we appreciate them and that their good works are not going unnoticed.
The Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) program is a global initiative by Junior Chamber International (JCI) that recognizes young individuals under 40 who are creating positive change in their communities and excelling in their fields. Since its launch in 1983, TOYP has celebrated exceptional young leaders across categories like entrepreneurship, science, humanitarian service, culture, and more. Adopted by JCI Nigeria and its collegiate chapters, including JCIN UNIBEN, the TOYP program highlights outstanding students and young changemakers within the University of Benin community. It serves as a platform to inspire others, promote excellence, and align with JCI’s mission of developing leaders for a better world.
